I’m 14 and I’ve been trading stocks, options, futures, and forex for almost 4 years. How do I land a finance internship and where do I look? Should I wait a little bit longer?

I'm 14 and I've been trading stocks, options, futures, and forex for almost 4 years. How do I land a finance internship and where do I look? Should I wait a little bit longer?
Ever since I was in 7th grade, I started to learn about trading because of video game trading. I remember trading many in-game items and selling them to 6th graders for cash. Every night, I would stay up in the video-game item auction websites ( scrap.tf ) because there would be fewer bidders and, therefore more opportunities to snag some good deals. I didn't even play video games at that point, and I only liked trading video-game items. One evening my mother said, "If you like trading so much, you should learn about the stock market.". From then on, I was hooked. So every day after school, I would spend hours watching videos to not understand it, researching it, writing notes, and continuing to expand my knowledge. After about 1.5 years, I was quite knowledgeable and parents that I had given presentations to were very impressed (This was a middle school project where you would present on something you're interested in). Some parents couldn't understand a word I was saying. Near the end of 8th grade, my father wanted to give money to trade with (>$1000) and during the summer I had almost doubled his money. During freshman high school, I would go to the library and open my laptop and just trade. I made about $60-$200 a day and some days I lose money. Although since I managed my risk, my reward outweighed my risk. Trading is just as much, if not more as a mental game than a numbers game. During my freshman year, my father wanted me to manage his retirement fund, and by then, I knew how to read financial statements and do fundamental analysis very well. We are currently 30% up with me joining in January 2020. Although it was sad to find out my father had lost quite a bit of money in his account statement, but now his account is finally positive. Because of this, my mother now encourages me to "monitor" my father which is hilarious considering my age. When I grow up, I want to be a financial analyst or start a prop shop (a type of trading firm), go into real estate (another story for later), and achieve financial freedom. For now, I want to apply for internships to gain some work experience in finance and I have some unanswered questions.
- P.S Sorry for any grammar issues I may have missed. English class was never my strong suit.
Questions:
  1. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting in college?
  2. How do I get some finance-related internship as a high schooler?
    1. Is this even possible?
    2. Should I wait a little bit longer?
    3. Where do I look?
  3. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting or both in college?

[HELP- Serious] How to win a college trading contest?

So my college is promoting a trading contest where you can buy stocks , etfs, trade forex or cfds (no crypto). The timeframe is only 18 days and the winner (who gets the bigger balance) gets an internship with a Portuguese trading company. My question is how can I in 18 days get the most balance? I know skill isn't helping that much because there's no risk management at all , I'm just looking for ideas to implement

Obtaining an internship related to Forex. Is this possible? Sorry if this question deviates from the normal discussion here, but I didn't know where else to pose this question.

I hate to derail the normal discussion of this subreddit, because it is normally filled with great discussions and ideas, but I didn't know where else to take this question. I'm a double major in finance and economics and I have recently taken a interest into Forex and really enjoy the industry. Is it possible to get an internship in a bank's forex department is that a thing? Im really just fishing for answers I'd appreciate any advice or response.

Just keep learning.

So today is one of the best day in my life, finally I have achieved what I dreamt of. It took me 3 months of FOREX trading and 2 years of learning how to trade and today I can say my capital has finally grown by 650% which for some reason I kept it as my goal (just a random no.). I have read books, bought courses, did internships and looked for strategies in YouTube but the only thing that gave me this return was DISCIPLINE. I hope my little story gives you some motivation to keep and earn more than you can imagine.

Kronologi Indra Kenz yang sebenarnya?

I dont defend this douche guy, he deserve it for being an @sshole.
Apa dia jadi agen perantara ketiga macam judi bola?
Does binomo even legal? I mean its legal in India. Dan konsepnya nyambung ke forex kan?
Gua cuman pengen tahu aja ginian, bahkan telegram grup mayoritas kalangan "investor" begitu kan disangka tempat chat teroris dulu kan dan terus disuruh uninstall. I have trust issues because massive of propraganda we are facing rn.

Banyak kasus orang beli saham pake pinjol. Beli BTC, Altcoin pake utangan, uang arisan, bahkan sumbangan gereja.
my advice for you yang kena FOMO:

Robot trading: Royal Q , Forex dll. Robot trading is scam, jauhi sekarang sebelum terlambat.

Investing stock is about your move, bukan orang lain. Jadi pastikan semua keputusan investasi kamu yang buat bukan orang lain.

Trader Crypto: Bear market is coming, we need to understand what crypto still alive for next 4 Years(next halving) DCA still the best strategy for you. We will face the second Bull Run but dont fall for it to much, cause second bull run means next winter season.

note: I hope yall getting more profit and healthy. May the Force be with you

Down a very toxic path

Hi I was always a high acheiving child. I was different then the other kids. was never really liked in my early childhood at school. Most adults considered me quite gifted. Was always a 80-90's student till grade 10.
At a young age of 4 I completely took apart a computer. I learned every single thing about a computer one can imagine. So much that I became obsessed with breaking the world record for the world youngest Microsoft Certified Professional. At the age of 12, i did it! I made international headlines. Then, i wanted to use my newfound achievement in a constructive maanner. There my entrepreneurial ventures began!
I became the neighborhood computer repair man, did an amazing job at it. Then at the ripe age of 14, it occured to me this isnt enough money for my time, how can I scale this ? I got into refurbishing Apple products. That summer I landed an internship at the biggest apple repair shop, to which 90% of Toronto sources their mac repair to! Made quite a few connections from there. fast forward an year to 2017. I start dominating the market slowly and slowly. I aquired a very bad spending habit, always shrug it off as I’ll balance it out.
This is what I would now call the golden era of my life. In 2018 I just turned 16! I earned a decent amount of capital, so much so that I made $10,000 that summer selling macbooks and iphones out of my room. I made more then both of my parents monthly salary, combined together at the age of 16. Grade 11 comes, I start being more scoially relaxed and obviosly that meant doing certain dumb teenager things. One of them being I tried weed. Didnt like it the first time give it a bit of time before trying it again. Then grade 11 (late 2018) comes, This was the best semester of education in my life. My school life was amazing, I earned amazing grades, everything in my life was just perfect. I also started smoking weed normally at this point. Now it's the beggining of 2019, I wanted to earn even more money, I always wanted to get into trading forex. One, of my schoomate/client was a DJ, who knew a legit trader, the guy ran an investment firm lets call him cooli. I invested money in it was comfortably making $1000 USD a month. life was amazing, as I'm sure you can tell I had no reason to be mad at anything. I loved everything, that I was doing to build a future. which was survive only off passive income (established buisnesses, real estate, capital investments, ecom)
Now were, at the come down of the "golden era' Because of all this money I was making I started spending it on luxuries which one of them (the worst one) I signed a 12 month contract for personal training at La fitness, was more then $500 a month which eqouted to more then $6000 an year with miscallanious fees. I told myself, I’ll balance it out with the forex money. This was the start of it, 3 months into it, cooli phone me tells me his forex buisness is being sold ( major surperise) and I should withdraw remaining of my investments, before the other party takes over, or i could have them manage my assets. I chose the latter huge mistake. But that was the start of my problems, may of 2019 i get a call from toronto police, without getting into to much detalis they wanted to know where a certain macbook came from. I obviously did not want to rat my guy out. Took care of that situation. But mine and his relation went to shit for other reasons shortly after that. But the thing was this was the biggest person i gut my supply from. Now with a booming buisness, but 75% of its supply missing sudfdenly, would only equote to a very painful demise of my apple buisness, it was the start of it crumbling. The other party that took over my investments they did a shit job managing it, so with majority of it intact I "traded it" myself. blow the account. Then, i had this genius idea to make it back, i like any roockie trader maxed out my dads credit card limit, and blow another account. now im down almost 10k.
With the apple buisness slowly crumbling and my new "forex trader" phase, it was the start to where i am now, will get to that in a bit. Covid-19 happens, i thought this would be a terrible thing for buisness, but the opposit happened i saw a huge uproar demand till septembre 2020. things were great but work ethic was going to shit, I kept trying to pass ftmo challanges, but kept failing but this money from the apple buisness was funding it.
The start of the most toxic part of my life now: it's March 2021 the goverment of canada is giving out free money (cerb) im eligble for it im getting $2000 a month doing fuck all the apple buisness is going to complete shit, and im practically gambling for one massive withdrawl from the markets to end it all.
i start becoming very lazy and a pothead, i hate to say this, i wake up now do fuck all, havent sold a macbook or iphone in the last 5-6 months now almost, as for forex this whats happening and the biggest problem im facing. i made an "investment" i am now almost 20k Cad in debt ( credit carda + borrowed money) at the age 20 living with my parents with no job. lost as fuck. dont know what to do. always had the do it myself mindset now im burnt out. help me fellow entj's. the only positive thing recently is a last resort i took my moms advice to go to college i never liked the school system, but unfurtuntly due to my own fucks im forced to go and going for computer programming.
TLDR : I WAS A "GIFTED" CHILD, BROKE A WORLD RECORD AT 12. AT THE AGE OF 16 BUILT A VERY SUCCESFUL BUISNESS WAS MAKING MORE THEN BOTH MY PARENTS COMBINED TOGETHER. AT 20 NOW IM 20K IN DEBT WITH NO JOB NAD THE SPIRIT CRUSHED AND MENTAL ENERGY DRAINED OUT OF ME. JUST LOST AS FUCK WITH NO DIRECTION.

How crazy do my projects have to be for MANGA

I'm a rising junior and I have some I guess decent projects, but I'm always worried that they won't even get me an interview at a FAANG+ company. I didn't have an internship this summer in the SWE space and my projects are all I've got. I do have a little more time to bang out one more project, but I don't want to take time away from interview prep. So how crazy do the projects have to be to land an interview? Is there anything I could improve in mine or that I'm missing?
My selected projects on my resume rn are:
  1. Boys or girls name ML model
  2. Front end of recipe search website using react which is kinda low quality and I might try and do a little upgrade
  3. Forex Trading Algorithm that I'm in progress building w another student
  4. Twitter Bot that I also gave a workshop for at my school

[NBS Accountancy] Ranking and Tiering every core modules with description)! Hope this will be fun read for the current/past Accountancy students, and helpful for incoming batch of Accountancy students :))

A fun little mini-project that I've been meaning to complete after graduation. I hope this post finds itself relatable to the current/graduating/graduated batches of Accountancy students from NBS, and serves as somewhat of a helpful guide for the incoming batch of Accountancy students.
Having said that, this is just one man's opinion, let me know if you agree or disagree with the rankings and tiering in the comment section. With that, let's jump right into it! :)))
Tier Module Code
S AC3102, AC3104
A AC2301, AB1601, AC3103, AC2105
B HE9091, AC2101, AB1201, AB14101, AC1103
C AB3601, AB0602, AB0601, AB1202
D AB0403, AC2302, AC2104, AC2401, AC1104, BE1401
F AB1301, AB1501

S-TIER:

#1st - AC3102: Risk Reporting and Analysis
AC3102 is actually one of the easier mods to score a high grade, and I mean it with all sincerity. By the time Y3/4 comes, most people already have good portfolios or jobs secured and do not really care much about GPA any longer. Coupled by the fact that most people find this mod challenging and pretty much nobody will be able to complete the paper, the bell curve will really work in your favour. In fact, for my finals I only completed 1.5 questions out of 3 (complete blank for the rest).
While the workload is not high, the time needed to fully catch the concepts is quite substantial. Personally, I really enjoyed this module a lot in terms of the satisfaction I received from finally understanding the concepts, and if you have performed an audit internship previously feeling lost as f**k, the content in this module is going to help you piece it all together.
Honestly, with enough practice, you will realise that while the questions take a long time to solve because there are so many journal entries required, they are generally quite straightforward and standard (unless the course coordinator really out for blood that semester). The saying “studying with friends helps a lot” is most applicable to AC3102 in my opinion, which made the module more fun for me. All the professors for this module are strong as well which makes lessons interesting.
I highly recommend Prof Low Kin Yew who is excellent at Hedge Accounting, or Prof Chong Kooi Wah who is excellent at Consolidation and Forex.
#2nd - AC3104: Risk Management & Advanced Auditing
There are 2 parts to this module: Risk Management, followed by Audit Part 2. The risk management portion in particular, I found to be extremely fun. I liked this module because you kind of have to think out of the box for the answers sometime, but it is not absolutely brain-wrecking either. I felt that the key to doing well for this module is to answer the question DIRECTLY, and not beat around the bush.
I ranked it below AC3102 as this module is very hard to prepare for finals – everyone feels lost but you will be assured to learn that this is normal. Additionally, there is a lot of groupwork so your grade is quite dependent on group members – if you do not have strong groupmates, you might have to spend extra time convincing them not to just whack content but to address the question directly and logically. A good bible is a necessity.

A-TIER:

#3rd - AC2301: Principles of Taxation
A useful module with coverage in GST, Income Tax Act, amongst other things – content that has application in real life while providing the right mix of fun and challenge. Quite a calculation-heavy module, so as long as you practice and stay careful, you can easily score for this module.
I highly recommend Prof Jow Lee Ying who was absolutely thorough in her teachings.
#4th - AB1601: Organisational Behaviour & Design
Very heavy workload (up there in the top 5 modules with the heaviest workload) because of the video components. At the same time, the video components are a good way to bond with your classmates and friends, as you help each other film and capture a ton of bloopers. Honestly, I really did enjoy this module. I felt it was an interesting module to exercise your creativity and have a bit of fun (while you still could), and I enjoyed filming with my friends across the various areas in NTU which made for one of the more memorable experiences in my university life.
#5th - AC3103: Accounting Analysis & Valuation
Basically, Financial Management Part 2. Practice enough and you will do fine. The project is quite demanding and was quite time-consuming, especially if you have a weaker team. If you have participated in any valuation competitions before Y3, the project should come across as a cakewalk.
Other than that, on a week-to-week basis and even exam prep is really chill actually. I rank it above FM because by this point, most of the concepts you will cover in this module are concepts you have been exposed to already, so I did find it a lot easier (and no tricky MCQs, see AB1201 below). Finals is relatively easy but watch out for careless mistakes as you can lose quite a huge number of marks from it.
#6th - AC2105: Accounting for Decision Making & Control
Another useful module with content that has actual applications in business decisions such as budget setting, budget variations, learning how to make the most profitable business decisions (e.g., between buying and outsourcing), which makes the course very interesting. Some of the theories are applicable to our daily lives as well, such as sunk-cost fallacy. Nothing too challenging, but the 2 project requirements soured me on the mod a little, particularly the data analytics project. Having said that, grade is quite dependent on group members. Finals are usually quite straightforward, but the calculations can get quite long and messy.

B-TIER:

#7th - HE9091: Principles of Economics
Chill mod for JC students who took Econs, the content is basically the same but not so in depth, with a little more expansion on ‘money supply’ for macroeconomics. Nothing very interesting, and none of the Economics professors are really remarkable, but the module is somewhat of a respite during a busy Y2 academic year, taking up little to no time at all. Poly students might find it a bit more challenging playing catchup, but I feel that the concepts tested are quite straightforward and you should be able to catch the hang of it especially with help from your JC friends.
#8th - AC2101: Accounting Recognition & Measurement
The most difficult accounting module for me. Accounting by this point, you should know, is very principle-based, and your understanding of these principles will be stretched in this course. As the name suggests – recognition and measurement. Your knowledge and understanding of the accounting framework and standards must be extremely strong to do well in this course, as you need to correctly identify in murky scenarios when exactly to recognise certain accounts and how to measure them precisely. Practice alone will not get your anywhere for this module if you are shaky on the principles and standards, so make sure you get them right from the start.
In terms of helping with job hunting, this accounting module probably has the most relevance as some companies tend to test on revenue recognition for FP&A or MAP roles for the technical interview. Fair value accounting in particular, is extremely relevant for valuation and accounting related careers.
I highly recommend Prof Jian Ming, who will really ask probing questions to stretch your understanding to the limit.
#9th - AB1201: Financial Management
Again, a useful module with content that you actually apply to your life, and it is relatively easy as well. Very low workload, and relatively straightforward computations but it is hard to score as Y1s compete with a bigger pool making the bell curve very steep. The biggest killer for this module is the MCQ (appears in both midterms and finals), they are extremely tricky and some of them will be sure to make you want to pull your hair out. Study the textbook effectively if you want to score well for the MCQ portion, it is the chief differentiating factor between B+ with A-, and A- with A/A+.
#10th - AB1401: Technological Innovations & Development
A chill mod with no finals (for my semester at least). Basically, a refresher to Excel and introduction to Tableau. Quite a useful module but nothing really stands out. The content is not too difficult as well. Grade is quite dependent on group members. This module is no longer offered from AY21/22 onwards.
#11th - AC1103: Accounting 1
Almost every Y1 Accounting student with no prior experience is going to struggle in the first few weeks. Absolutely normal, I hated Accounting in Y1S1 too. Do not give up, keep practising and asking the stronger classmates, and you will be able to get the hang of it by recess week. Practising notes to financial statements is a must and will give you a huge advantage during midterms. And remember, debit-credit is a rule, nothing to question, just remember. Questioning it would be like questioning why D comes before E.
I highly recommend Cheong Sook Fun who will really ask probing questions to stretch your understanding, or Chan Ai Lin

C-TIER:

#12th - AB3601: Strategic Management
You know you are headed straight for a cloud when the 2 pre-requisite modules for AB3601 are some of the fluffiest in Marketing and Organisational Behaviour. Thankfully, this module can be very chill depending on your professor, and by this point, you will already have sufficient experience in fluffing and knowledge of the standard buzzwords, which makes things a whole lot easier.
My professor was pretty chill, even inviting guest speakers a few times and ending class earlier. Some pros about this module – (1) you get to choose your own teammates (and grade is quite group dependent for this course) and (2) case question is released to you 1 week before your paper, so you will have time to dissect the content and contextualise your notes with your friends, which is fun and neat, which puts this module higher in the list.
Of course, this comes with a steeper bell curve, and the course is quite competitive with the business students in particular often steamrolling over the accounting students, especially for class part, which soured me on the module a little. Content wise, boring, and dry. A good bible helps a lot, and grade is very dependent on team members, (However, you get to choose your teammates for this module)
#13th - AB0602: Communication Management Strategies ‘aka’ Comms Fund 2
Absolutely Class Part Slut galore, the Comms Fund profs are notorious for their biases, quirks and are quite demanding generally. When it comes down to AB0602, EVERY LADY/MAN FOR THEMSELVES. Just be THICKED-SKINNED and fight for your marks, people will hate each other but we all understand why we do what we do in AB0602. I enjoyed it somewhat only because I like presenting.
For the project, you not only need to wreck your brain to smoke up some nonsense content to fulfil what I honestly feel is bs requirements and organise it into something presentable, but also present in a flashy manner that stands out. Extremely time consuming. I will say that grade is quite dependent on team members particularly if your members lose sight of what is really important. People have a tendency to overfocus on the content, the main point of this module is your communication skills! Even if your idea is trash, just communicate the main points and messages well! Please do not waste precious time arguing over the content, agree with the most logical person and focus all your time on structuring your content well.
People are out for blood during the presentation Q&A, either ally up with the other groups in your class or go HAM with the free fire. The 2 reasons why I ranked Comms Fund 2 above Comms Fund 1 is because – (1) my Comms Fund 2 class was a bit more chill, and (2) there is a small graded component on negotiation skills (not covered in AB0601), which makes the module a little more interesting.
#14th - AB0601: Communication Management Fundamentals ‘aka’ Comms Fund 1
See AB0602, but all individual-based work. This module is no longer offered from AY21/22 onwards.
#15th - AB1202: Statistics & Analysis
Chill mod for JC students, and for some Poly students who did Stats before as well. You will be introduced to a POWERFUL software in RStudio (very useful) and the content has many applications in daily life as well. However, this module probably has the steepest bell curve of all the core mods in the 3 years, which somewhat hampered my experience for me. For instance, I scored quite a decent grade for midterms but still got tiered at the lowest tier. For me, I sort of felt like I was walking on eggshells for this module – one small mistake could seriously cost you quite a bit in terms of the grade you score.

D-TIER:

#16th - AB0403: Decision Making with Programming and Data Analytics
These days, seems like Python kind of falls behind languages such as Java and C++ but nonetheless, the skillset is still essential and Python itself is still a powerful language that serves as a great introductory language to programming. An interesting and practical (but not really for accounting-related roles) module that was fun for me. While it was somewhat time-consuming, I did enjoy troubleshooting and discovering different ways to code a certain function. In this module, you will have the chance to play with Python, Jupyter Notebook and even SQL(Lite).
My biggest gripes about the module is that many people outsource their projects, and those with Python background absolutely wrecks everyone in class, so if you want to score a high grade, you really need to invest a lot more time into this module. Additionally, AB0403 is EXTREMELY HEAVY in workload, second only to Company Law. And you grade is extremely groupmate dependent – if you do not have a very strong group, sleepless nights are assured for that sem. The quizzes (no finals) are not very difficult, but the questions are extremely tricky, and you find yourself being tight for time.
I highly recommend Prof Chan Wai Xin (my professor) – his charisma and sense of humour makes lessons fun to sit through, and he is extremely effective and thorough in his teachings in a way that caters perfectly to both complete newbies (like myself) and experienced Python users already.
#17th - AC2302: Company Law & Corporate Governance
Heaviest workload of ALL the core mods. The amount of content in this module is simply disgusting spanning over 4 sets of law – Companies Act, IRDA, SFA and SGX Listing Manual. Having said that, I have to give this mod its due – it can be quite interesting and is certainly more straightforward than Business Law (albeit straightforward means that the content is drier).
Admittedly, I might have found it easier because you get some appreciation for the law concepts in Business Law already, and the study rust from NS has wore off.
Furthermore, the Company Law professors, from what I gather, are humbler and a lot more willing to help, than Business Law professors. Be prepared to set aside at least 2 weeks for C Law Finals prep if you wish to score a high grade for this module.
I highly recommend Prof Joyce Lee, and Prof Fernandez Navprakash (my professor) – who not only explained concepts in a very thorough yet effective and simple manner but was also very patient and made it a point to answer everyone’s questions. He also makes it a point to give everyone generous opportunities for class participation.
#18th - AC2104: Assurance & Auditing
Unlike its advanced counterpart AC3104, where at least the – (1) Risk management element makes fluffing interesting, (2) Audit element incorporates more accounting knowledge, this module is just boring fluff. Tracing, vouching, confirmation, completeness, accuracy, … etc, snooze, each topic is pretty much more of the same.
Frankly, doing an audit internship during your Y1 summer break should be sufficient in giving you a big picture of the main concepts and help you ease through the mod more easily in Y2. But the same cannot be said otherwise, i.e., completing this module is not going to help much for audit work.
Like AC3104, you just need to be somewhat logical in your fluffing to do well for this mod and answer the question directly. And again, lots of group work, and grade is quite group dependent – if you do not have strong groupmates, you might have to spend extra time convincing them not to just whack content but to address the question directly and logically.
#19th - AC2401: Accounting Information Systems
I feel extremely divided for this module. On one hand, you touch on SAP Accounting and UiPath Automation software which not only fun to learn, but extremely relevant and useful. Yet, on the other side of things, you have topics such as flowchart preparation (generally 25% of the final paper), which – while arguably serves some purposes – was a complete pain (for me at least) and way messier than the ones you construct in BE1401. And again, AC2401 is one of the first few mods (if you take it in Y2S1) where you start exercising some semblance of business acumen picking out blind spots in various accounting processes, so it does take some time to get the hang of it.
Finals is relatively straightforward, but the project is extremely time-consuming – having to prepare both slides and report (with freaking FLOWCHARTS!!) You need to source your own company to work on as well, so groups with members who have connections to companies (e.g., they have family running their own company) will have a significant head-start advantage. Admittedly, I got carried for the project in this module, and hated it very much.
#20th - AC1104: Accounting 2
While not as challenging as AC2101, this was the worst financial accounting module for me. Enjoy your maiden experience on the ultimate thrill rides in: (1) preparing cash flow statements (direct and indirect), (2) introduction to ‘Beginning Retained Earnings’ and (3) retrospective and correcting journal entries that will be sure to send you into a state of massive confusion.
During my Y1S2 semester, it seemed like the professors for Accounting 2 (barring Prof Lau Chew King) were all new, so with all due respect, the teachings was a huge step down from the highly experienced professors in Accounting 1. Highly recommended prof from all accounts – the King herself, Prof. Lau Chew King.
#21st - BE1401: Business Operations & Process
Absolute resident sleeper, snooze-fest of a module. I dreaded going for lessons, and frequently thought of skipping tutorials (which I did). S/U-ing the module was the only thought in my mind for the majority of the semester. The concepts and calculations (plenty and pretty much constitutes 95% of the module) in this module such as throughput time, forecasting, linear programming is not VERY difficult per se and does have meaningful applications in real life, but it is dryer than dried wheat crackers and the questions set can make the computations quite confusing.
Like AC2401, for the project, you need to source your own company to work on as well, so groups with members who have connections to companies (e.g., they have family running their own company) will have a significant head-start advantage. The report itself is very time-consuming, which was a killer for me, taking it in the same semester as 2 other time goblins in AB1501 and AB1601. While I was fortunate enough to be in a strong team, I have seen friends who suffered for projects because a good number of people just wants to S/U this boring-ass module.
Traditionally, Finals for Biz Ops are extremely difficult, so you should set aside at least 1 week for it. The only reason this module made it to my D-tier was because Covid semester made the finals MCQ, which made things a lot easier, because from practising past year finals, I could – on average, solve only 1 out of 4 questions correctly.

F-TIER:

#22nd - AB1301: Business Law
For all of 16 weeks, I did not know what the f**k was going on. Not a clue. Absolute deer caught in headlights, or simply ‘kangaroo kenna spotlight’. I am not sure if it was the post-NS brain rust, or just because it is my first law module, or both, but I struggled to wrap my mind on key law concepts such as the ‘Reasonable Man Test’, like just what exactly are we basing these imaginary standards on? (My thoughts at that time).
However, I must give the module its credit due, the content is very useful and practical and learning contract law certainly makes you think twice about leaving your signature on any sheet of paper. The case law stories can be quite interesting, particularly when learning tort.
I feel like my experience was dampened by my Business Law professor who banned laptops in class and granted while his explanations were really good and he drilled the common pitfalls into our heads, I often left class missing out several points because how the f**k was anyone going to write down all of 3 hours content.
My best advice is the same as Company Law – even if you want to play in Y1, at least for this module, do your tutorials and readings, keep up week-to-week basis because the content is so heavy, it will be hard to catch up come finals. If you catch the concepts fast, finals itself is usually quite straightforward, but I would advise just maximising on class part and project because Business Law is hard for most people and the coursework saved me.
#23rd - AB1501: Marketing
Worst module of all-time, only redeeming point (in hindsight) is that the concepts like SWOT, PESTEL, and market segmentation does come in handy for AC2105 and AB3601. It does not get any fluffier than this. If this amazing product we are supposed to come up with was going to be that effective, it would be in the market already. I am not sure if modules can have ‘red-flags’, but AB1501 in its full glory was certainly coated a deep crimson red for me. IMO, no one professor that really stands out. All I can say is, you need a strong team and a strong bible(Edit: no more Marketing finals). God bless Covid Semester.

Thanks for reading :)))

I feel lost about what i want to do specifically and it's stressing me out. How to add direction to my CV and not make it look scattered?

my_qualifications = going in my 3rd year undergrad, engineering from a decent government college(idk about tier 1 or 2, always very confusing. it's government and decent)
So i'll be going in my 3rd year of undergrad and still not sure what i want to do after graduation. In my first year i was really fascinated by startup investing and did an internship in VC. After that i started reading about the derivates market and did an internship in a bank in their Treasurey and forex team. I have worked on consulting projects and did a research internship under a finance professor(making models and stuff). At this point my resume is so scattered and i feel it looks like im confused with what i want to do and that might portay a bad impression to the recuiters. I'm now thinking of working in the IB field for an intern but again it seems like something that would add misdirection in my CV.
I have friends who from the freshmen year picked up a niche(like product or analytics) and now has a stellar background in that and i'm more like jack of not all trades and master of definetly none. I feel i want to do something in finance but im not even sure about that. In all my past internships, i didn't enjoy the work so much to work full time in that field and it makes me think do i really need to do "what i love", or just pick something that pays well. The shear peer pressure and competition around me for getting various internships is stressing me out and i've no idea what to do next.

My internship interview experience!

This was one of the most questionable firms that I’ve applied to (I came to this conclusion after the interview). So the website through which I applied to showed an opening in “ Hedge fund mgmt” ( in my country there are barely an hedge funds). I was called for an interview the next week and this is what the interview is like...... basic stuff about myself, academic background etc.. and then came this point where they asked me to bring in $1000 from my friends and family for forex trading. At this point I’m wondering which fucking firm allows rookies to trade with client money with very little trading experience. The I shared my trading experience and spoke a bunch of option trades that I’ve done and pointed out where I went wrong and stuff and the interviewer seemed to be unaware of what options were and tried hard to change the topic. Their target candidates were college freshers with/without a finance background. So putting all these things together I came to the conclusion that these guys were fraudulent and deceiving as a lot of red flags had been raised. Has anyone faced something like this ? This was one awful experience.

How God saved me

Before 2020 I was a very lukewarm christian around this time I started getting more serious with God because He got me through a tough time in high school in 2018 ( I was depressed and lonely) but I hadn’t had a wake up call yet like that moment when u realize God is really in your life and involved in your life. I want to share this story with my other fellow Christian’s because people make mistakes and through mistakes we learn and some mistakes happen because it’s a wake up moment and this was mine.
When I had just turned 18 i had did an internship recently for school and for the first time I had a decent amount of money and I was previously interested in forex by a friend but I knew it was complicated and everything and there was a time when I tried learning it myself. But then one day I was on ig and some girl I didn’t know who went to my middle school posted about a scammer who supposedly “doubled ur money” and so basically I got scammed out of 800 or 900 of my internship money because I was greedy and I was making my own decisions and deciding my own steps and it lead to me having to close my bank account and having another bank account because the previous one was closed due to the scam on Cashapp. And on Nov 16 God set me straight and told me I could either go on my own path or follow His path that He laid for me and I chose God and to this day He’s been working in my heart and helping me be like Jesus!
I wanted to share this because when you share your mistakes they lose all their power and though I know that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus during the time after being scammed I felt SOOOO ashamed. My whole family knew about it and I felt so stupid… I just felt awful and thought what would ppl think? They will call me stupid and naive. But I believe the grace and mercy of God is so much greater than whatever sins we commit. Guilt and shame is a tactic of the devil and he wants us to keep our hurts and pains to ourselves so he can continue to torture and keep us chained to our past but GOD IS GREATER. Thank you for reading my story. I’ve really learned so much and I’m glad in happened dispute the guilt and the shame I used to feel because it showed me how much God cared about me. I’ve learned the importance of depending on God and submitting to His will and dying to our flesh it’s been an amazing experience!! I hope my story has encouraged anyone to share as well because everyone is human and makes mistakes and there’s nothing that God can’t forgive. He is love and He wants you to know that no matter what you do He will always love you. He will call u by your name because you are His and bring you back you his arms. Isaiah 43:1-2

I feel lost about what i want to do specifically and it's stressing me out. How to add direction to my CV and not make it look confused?

So i'm in my penultimate year of undergrad and still not sure what i want to do after graduation.

Edit: Make it *NOT look confused (in the title) - obviously
