Strange Attractors by Orange et Blue Morality (Mistakes_and_Experiments)
Strange Attractors is a time travel tomione fic but it's so much more than that. the worldbuilding is phenomenal, and I didn't mind the OCs at all. So many different concepts both historical and magical were introduced and fleshed out, like branches of magic (healing, runes, defense trust me its so cool), WW2 and Grindelwald and transfer students, muggleborn prejudice, etc. in such a refreshing way. Compared to other time travel fics I've read, which while good are oftentimes just HowToGetUrMainCharactersTogether (TM) with Hogwarts and some angst thrown in as an afterthought, Strange Attractors genuinely feels like a whole new fic set in a different time era. I know I'm repeating myself but everything is so fleshed out and we get to see so much more of the wizarding world (war!) than just plain old Hogwarts. Even the Hogwarts part has completely changed, in a good way, such that the student body feels REAL and DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CURRICULUM UGHH SO WELL THOUGHT OUT. The romance pretty much takes a back seat beyond a few scenes as we follow our v e r y diverse cast (all 3D! promise) throughout the v e r y wild plot, but when it does show it SHOWS. TBH I can't actually elaborate on much else bc I the details are kinda fuzzy but it just recently updated since it stopped in 2019 so I'm definitely planning on rereading.
