The basic idea is that the public can only make money from the markets if we understand what the professional traders are doing. And professional traders are not small players. They play big. Hence, they leave their footprints in volume data. When the professionals are active, the market shows high trading volume. Conversely, when the market volume is low, the professionals might be holding their horses. It follows that in order to get a sense of what the big guys are up to, looking at just price action is not enough. We need to look at price together with volume.
DOES VSA WORK IN ALL MARKETS?
VSA focuses on price and volume and seeks to find the actions of professional traders. Hence, as long as a market has a group of professionals and offers reliable price and volume data, the trading premise of VSA holds. Almost all financial markets (stocks, futures, forex) seem to fit the bill. However, in the spot forex market, volume is a tricky concept. You will not get actual traded volume. You get tick volume which measures the times the price ticks up or down. If you intend to use VSA methods for trading spot forex, you need to decide if your source of tick volume is a reliable proxy for actual volume.
HOW DO WE USE VSA TO TRADE?
I will not sugar-coat the fact that VSA is difficult to master. This is because traders have interpreted various VSA concepts differently. To trade well with VSA requires years of practice and market observation. (Consider how much time Jesse Livermore, Richard Wyckoff, and Tom Williams spent studying the markets.) Nonetheless, we can still improve our trading with basic VSA concepts that are easy to understand. Hence, in this first guide, we will look at two simple VSA concepts.

The MACD is a trend-following momentum indicator that assesses market forces and indicates changes in momentum, direction and strength of a price trend. MACD uses moving averages to identify potential trading opportunities near support and resistance levels. The MACD is represented by a histogram and consists of:
The MACD line: it measures the distance between two moving averages, usually exponential moving averages (EMAs).
The signal line: identifies changes in price momentum and triggers bullish and bearish signals.
The Histogram simply plots the difference between the MACD line and signal line and fluctuates in and around the zero designation. The signal line is designated to smooth out the sensitivity of the MACD Line.
Advantages of using the MACD
Due to its reliability and ease, the MACD indicator is a very popular technical indicator that is widely used by most traders and analysts. It has the ability to confirm the strength of a trend as well as signaling the reversal point of the trend. Traders can rely on the MACD to detect bullish and bearish market trends. It is also utilized to confirm the strength of sell and buy signals. On the other hand, the MACD may be less reliable for long-term trading. It is commonly used as a short-term indicator, which means it is best utilized for short-term market analysis. Another downside is that the MACD is lagging or trend following indicator. This means it signals a trend only when it starts, not before. It rather follows the price movement, unlike leading indicators that signal a trend before it happens. Meanwhile, the indicator does not anticipate all reversals and sometimes it can signal false signals especially when the divergence occurs when the price moves sideways. This is commonly known as false positive.

SURVIVING THE WINTERSNOW FOREX SCAM; THE PROBLEM WITH USING AN ACCOUNT MANAGER TO EXECUTE TRADES
I have been pretty unlucky with investment/brokerage companies but the worst of it all was when I created a trading account with Wintersnow Forex and made weekly deposits of $5,000 into the account for 3 months. I tried to directly contact the account manager as well as the finance department in an attempt to withdraw some of the profits I made on the platform but they demanded a tax fee be sent to them first before withdrawal. When I refused to their terms seeing that it all sounded ridiculous, they hung up each time I called and eventually blocked my number from calling them. I also tried to speak with one of the other traders working on my account but he kept saying to call the main line and speak to the finance department. When I ask for him to get finance to call me back he just kept saying they will do today but I waited 2 months before I called the attention of Fintrack. org by submitting a complaint to them in a feat to get my investment back which got me withdrawal access to the principal and profits linked to my account. Whatever you do, don’t invest your money with Wintersnow Forex, they are quick to accept the funds from you but soon as you make that withdrawal request, they work really hard to ensure you never see your money again. Also be careful because they keep changing their names, they initially went by the name Bohua Technology and are probably on the way to creating another false trading platform.
