Id say the worst about mine is pay but its still like double minimum wage here. and the normal "shitty people" stuff I work from home. I get unpaid and paid time off. Insurance. 20% off everything. It is for retail but I am given power to do everything without asking a higher up. So something like a refund is something id just do based on my knowledge. I work from home, if im gonna miss work I just use my time off hours and dont have to tell anyone why or anything. if it is slow, work force puts out voluntary time off. that is just time off you can take that doesnt impact your stuff etc. I am also having a kid soon and they give 6 weeks of paid bonding leave for fathers. I talk to a managesupervisor maybe once a week for usually arounx 5 to 10 minutes and its not any sort of nitpicky type stuff. So 100% they dont care how long calls take and prefer them to be longer vs shorter too. We have metrics but ive never actually seen someone fired for that. only stuff like stop showing up etc. The only thing they really care about is you doing good customer service. HR gives time for mental health stuff (ie extra breaks etc) to accomadate people. you have a set schedule so its not this always changing thing besides if you choose to do overtime etc. I never have to talk to any coworkers including those in my team.
PSA: Stop complaining about the call center being bad. It's not us being bad. It's the company being terrible and sharing information.
This company sucks when it comes to rolling out new information. Working in the call center. I have to learn on the fly when it comes to new policy's and rules. Also, we have a lot of overseas employees which doesn't help the situation. Do you know how many times I had to deal with situations where the store simply told the customer to call 1-800, because they didn't wanna deal with the customer. Do you know how many times I had to deal with situations where my company failed to let us know about a new policy. The shit is crazy. Trying to communicate to the store is a nightmare for us. However, the whole company sucks are communicating with each other. So, remember it's a broken system where all sides are being played by the upper management. Sidenote: The amount of bullshit we deal with in the call center makes me wanna scream at this company. They expect us to be mental health counselor for less than 35k a year. With the added bullshit, oh we're are hear for you. When a customer yells at you for 30 mins not to take it personal. Get the fuck out of here!
